: interbike 2008

my 5th adventure to las vegas for interbike came and went and i'm back in ct with tons of photos and memories. good times, great race, but glad to be home! i supposedly took the win in the "retailer" category of the "wheelers & dealers" crossvegas race, but it was bitter sweet. lolli had a few hundred yards on me and probably would of had the win, but took a spill going into a corner. i was in total race mode, i didn't even see matt the whole race...upright or when he crashed. the crossvegas win was about the only luck i had all week in vegas. the race results were posted today and i'm listed as 8th overall in the race of 115+ riders. i'm pretty sure i wasn't 8th which leads me to believe the results are totally wacked! something was really messed up at the scorers table that night, there are missing names all over the results list?!? i don't think anybody had a clue who placed where! regardless, i had a great time racing! i gambled 5¢ slots from time to time throughout the week...not exactly high rolling, and won nothing but a few free cocktails. saw tons of rad stuff at the show, collected lots of free swag, and met a bunch of cool people. thanks to jason p. for coming out to shoot film at the race and experience interbike for the 1st time. thanks to the guys at swiftwick for hooking me up with some rad socks. thanks to ashley at outlaw earth for hooking me up with some shirts, and thanks to lolli for hooking me up with the latest in the ghostship clothing line to rock on the podium. had a pretty cool experience with digger davis at the las vegas airport. the 2 of us chilled at the oxygen bar for 20 minutes before out flight sucking in some calming scents and getting a killer back massage. it was the perfect ending to a crazy trip...relaxation before boarding the 5 hour flight home. until next year...
