: saturday sucked!

today was the easthampton cyclocross race and it was frigid! i know i've complained in past weeks about it being cold, but today was bone chilling! 26 degrees with 20-30 mph wind gusts made it feel like 12-14 degrees! it was brutal out! well, it really didn't end up mattering anyway...i had to pull out of the race early on due to a stripped out crank bolt. i felt a little play on the non-drive side of my bike as i was cranking along and i thought nothing of it, at most maybe it was a loose cleat. as i ran through a section and went to remount i noticed the crank arm was nearly off the bike. by the time i made it to the pits i was just about lapped and they didn't have another crank bolt for me anyway. i'm pissed to say the least, especially since the course was super fast and not technical in the least. maybe next year...
