: salmon river state forest

t and i adventured off the beaten path into the salmon river state forest last night. we followed the dickinson creek trail north for about 2 miles then bushwacked it off the trail a quarter mile down to the waters edge. we hiked creek side all the way back to the lyman viaduct making it back to the car just before dark. great hike! the forest on boths sides of dickinson is crazy! tons of deep green moss everywhere, reminds me of the northwest, orgegon, etc. in there! while doing some research on the forest and the lyman viaduct i found this interesting site: airline trail info.
