sunday t and i drove down to essex for lunch on the water, then proceeded to spend the rest of the day driving all over ct making mini-stops here and there. we hit hammonasset state park, chatfield hollow state park, eagle's landing state park, the salmon river boat launch and then headed north. we drove up to hartford to scope out the eagles nest, but sadly it is on private property and we couldn't get closer than 400 yards or so. we stopped in at riverfront park and walked around a bit before heading home. to top off the day we made a late night trip to eli's for a few mugs of suds.

today was a blah day. i woke up feeling like poop...raspy throat, sniffles, etc. i think riding outside all day saturday kicked my a$$! i plopped down on the couch at 8:30 this morning right after waking up and proceeded to stay there fading in and out of sleep until 1:30 this afternoon. i motivated myself to get up and get some fresh air in hopes i'd feel a bit better, but that didn't do a whole heck of a lot. i drove out to 122 where t was hanging out for the day, drove down to the salmon river to shoot photos but was too cold and lazy to get out of the car, then drove aimlessly through the back roads of colchester, marlborough, glastonbury, and portland ultimately ending up back here at the house and on the couch again at 5:00. i think this random sign sums up my random day going nowhere...
