: putney punishment

so lolli and i raced putney, vermont this morning and it was gnarly! the course was frozen and it was 28 degrees when we got up there a little after 8 am. by the time the race went off at 10 the course was thawing and getting slick and muddy. midway through the race i slipped out and went head first into a cornfield. no lie, full speed like 10 feet into the corn! i crashed 2 more times during the race but was able to walk away in 5th...out of 44 riders...so I was psyched! lolli gave 'em hell on his singlepeed and rocked out the knickers and mechanics jacket in true ghostship "we don't give a f**k" fashion! matt even caught some air off the kicker. all in all it was a fun day and we both made it out in once piece...although those corn stalks cut me up good! many thanks to tina for running around like a mad woman in the freezing cold to cheer us on and shoot film. you rock! check out t's photos at putney photos.
