: mt. higby re-visited

the last time i hiked mt. higby was easter morning 2006. yesterday t and i headed out to higby at 8am in the brisk autumn air to make our way up the mountain. its amazing how the state tries to cover their butt these days. as the result of a 20 something year old man falling off the edge of one of the cliffs to his death in the spring, the mountain is now covered with "caution" and "warning" signs. i feel for the family of the individual that died, but come on...why ruin nature with a bunch of obnoxious signs. its common sense! You hike near the edge of a 150 foot cliff you're risking falling! if you need signs to tell you that you're just a dumb ass! anyway, we had a good time and got in a solid hour and a half of hiking. check out the great photos we shot by clicking here.
