well this is another maine post, but I am at home in connecticut now. i shot a few photos throughout the trip with my point-and-shoot digital camera and just uploaded them. take a look at what I got at: maine.5

we went up to rockland for the night to check out the various art gallerys and have dinner at cafe miranda, probably the best restaurant in the area. i didn't shoot too many photos, maninly because i was distracted by all the fun we were having. so this will be my last post from maine. the bags are packed and we'll be on the road in a few hours. thanks again to ry and erica for having us up for the extra long weekend. time to head back to reality...

we woke up to showers and lots of clouds, but it soon broke and the sun showed it face. we headed down to booth bay for the early afternoon, popping in and out of shops and being your sterotypical tourists. it was a fun little trip with only a few photos shot. we're heading up to rockland for the evening,maybe I'll get some better shots. check out the pics. from booth bay at: maine.4

wow! where do i start? i had some amazing fresh blueberry pancakes for breakfast...that was a great start. we hiked mt. megunticook this morning and headed down to owls head in the afternoon. to top off the afternoon we had an amazing lunch and now everybody else is napping while i'm posting these photos. lazy bums! check out today's photos at: maine.3

last night we went down to the pemaquid point lighthouse. honestly it feels like you are at the end of the world when you are standing on the rocks there. you look out and see nothing but the blue atlantic. it was pretty amazing! after the light we headed over to musgongus bay to eat at a "lobster pound" owned by a friend of our hosts. nothing beats a restaurant that is b.y.o.b. with tables overlooking the harbor. great food and great views! check out the photos at: maine.2

for those of you that don't know, i live next to a few greenhouses. i decided to take a sunday afternoon stroll through one of the greenhouses and get a few shots of the flowers in bloom. check 'em out at: in bloom

got home later than usual but still wanted to get some sort of exercise in. t and i decided to head out and hike near the lyman viaduct and the salmon river state forest. nots of great trails out there and the viaduct itself if cool to stop by. check out the photos at: the lyman viaduct. hopefully next week i'll be able to get out on the pedal power road ride!

: a day in providence

yesterday was the annual risd alumni art show and t's work went over really well. by noon, 2 hours into the show, she had 8 pieces sold. By days end about 2 dozen pieces had went and at least 100 interested people stopped by to view her work. amazing day for an artist! i took some time to rome around the city and see the sights....and shoot a little film. i also ate at eastside pocket 3 seperate times (huge falafel wraps!) check out all the photos at: a day in providence.

yesterday evening i got home too late to make it out on the pedal power road ride so t and i decided to go for a walk at hurd park. its great to have such a cool park so close to home! tons or amazing wildlife, great views of the connecticut river, and one of the coolest vine swings ever! yeah, a real deal vine...not a rope swing! tarzan style! check out the photos: a walk in the park.
